-Thrillers are characterized by fast pacing, frequent action, and resourceful heroes who must thwart the plans of more-powerful and better-equipped villains.
-Thrillers often take place wholly or partly in exotic settings such as foreign cities, deserts, polar regions, or high seas.
-The heroes in most thrillers are frequently "hard men" accustomed to danger however it can be ordianary citizens that have been dragged into danger by accident.
-Thrillers often overlap with mystery stories

-Romantic comedy films, also known as romcom, are movies with light-hearted, humorous plotlines
- They are centered around romantic ideals such as a love being able to overcome most obstacles.
-Romantic comedy films are a sub-genre of comedy films as well as romance films so there is also a lot of laughter in the films.
-Because of their appeal to women, romantic comedies are sometimes called "Chick Flicks".

-Horror films are movies in which their main objective is to get fear, horror and terror responses from viewers.
-In the plots of such films themes of the supernatural colliding with our world are very common. -The film can be completely "supernatural" without any trace whatsoever of reality.
-Horror movies usually include a central villain E.G. Hannibal Lecter
