Questionnaire Summary

After creating my questionnaire for Task Three: Primary Research i decided to hand it out to my peers. I created 10 Questions ranging from age, to what they like most about films. This is what i found...

All The people i questioned were between the ages of 15-21 so i had a good age range in the sense that all people could watch 15 rated films and some could watch 18 rated films.

I had asked 4 males, and 4 females

From the following; Romantic Comedies, Thrillers and Horrors; 2 People Preferred Rom-Coms 5 people chose Thrillers and 1 Person chose Horrors.

People like Rom Coms because they liked laughter, Thrillers because they liked suspense and Horrors because of the gore and blood.

The most popular thriller film was Se7en, Rom com was Love Actually and Horror was Red Dragon

All of my peers watched at least a few films a month with most watching at least one a week.

The thing that attracted people to films most was; The Actors and the prequels.

All of my peers liked a twist at the end of the film.

The thing that most of my peers disliked about films is the repetitiveness and the ability to guess the ending because they have seen so many films with the same setup.

To summarise my findings, I have realised that the best opening of a film would be to create a thriller with a lot of suspense. It will need to fall into the 15 age category so I will look on the BBFC website for more information on how to do that. It will need to have a completely new idea so it is not repetitive and people can guess what will happen next. If I can meet all of the criteria I have stated here then I feel that me and my group will create a very good opening to a thriller.
